This past trip to Salem was my 17th visit to my favorite city. However, it was my first time staying with The Coach House. I had seen photos online, so I was expecting the beauty. But what I wasn’t expecting was the energy that surrounds this gorgeous boutique hotel.
From the moment we pulled up, we noticed it. This electric energy that wraps you up. I now know it’s from the perfect mix of history meets modern! The Coach House is such a unique place to stay. The home itself was built in 1879 for a Sea Captain and was later turned into an Inn during the 1950’s.
In 2022 the Inn was turned over to new owners and converted to the ridiculously beautiful boutique hotel that you see now.
One of the first things you’ll notice once you walk inside is that nothing was overlooked. The modern touches are EVERYWHERE. Fun textures, a mix of patterns, unique light fixtures, gold hardware…I could go on and on.
We instantly felt right at home. The rooms were cozy, wildly clean and so relaxing! The space was quiet and calm yet so fun and funky. Literally the perfect place for everything from a romantic getaway to a bachelorette party, birthday celebration, wedding and more!
I could never write a blog post about The Coach House without mentioning the incredible staff. They are just a quick message away during your entire stay and they go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Marley is truly such a gem and an asset to the hotel! She makes you feel like family and that is such a gift.
After visiting Salem so many times over the last 8 years, I feel like I have such a good grasp on the city. I love recommending things to people and don’t take that responsibility lightly.
BOOK THE STAY! It is really that simple. You will not be disappointed. We were so sad to leave The Coach House and immediately started planning our next stay with them.
This property has a way of making you feel special! And that is such a gift. Salem was truly the perfect city for a hotel like this. After a day exploring the most magical city, you are able to retreat to an equally magical room!
I cannot recommend The Coach House enough! We are counting down the days until we get to return.
